![]() ![]() Orthodontics in Paradise, LLC ![]() We love the Hilton Head area and all it has to offer. The climate is perfect and walking the beach has become one of our daily routines. Along with woodworking, reading, sculling, and a daily “ski” trip on the Nordiktrak, I enjoy nature and all of its beauty as I spend leisure time chasing my golf ball around all of the beautiful woods, lakes, and scenery that the Low Country has to offer! I enjoy sports of any kind but I especially love football and am glad to be reacquainted with the Southern rivalries that I remember so well but now do not have to follow from a distance. I am enthused to be able to practice in and contribute to the community for years to come. It is my pleasure and a privilege to have a practice here and continue “creating smiles with a smile”!! ![]() ![]() ![]() To say we are excited to be here in Hilton Head is an understatement! After making the seven hundred mile trip to Hilton Head six to seven times a year over fourteen years, we are fortunate to be able to call Hilton Head our home. It has always been my dream to have a smaller, relaxed practice on the coast. For many reasons, this truly is Orthodontics in Paradise! But as I reflect over my years, I realize I have come a long way from my high school days in upstate New York. I got my first taste of the South when I attended Davidson College, just north of Charlotte, where I not only received a great education but met the love of my life, Theresa. After graduation in 1975, Theresa and I were married in 1976 and I attended and graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Dentistry in 1981. We moved back to Knoxville where I established a general practice and practiced for five years. During that time, I discovered my passion for orthodontics and returned to orthodontic residency at St. Louis University and graduated in 1988. Although we had intended to return South, a wonderful opportunity was available in Evansville, Indiana, and I enjoyed a thriving practice there for almost twenty years. But as time went on, we knew we wanted to return South and when the opportunity presented itself, it was the answer to our dream. So, now we are living the dream! We are blessed with three sons. Our oldest, Matt (30) is married (Brooke) and living in Florida and practices orthodontics in Port Charlotte and Bradenton. Andy (28) and his wife (Jin) live in Charlotte and he will complete his MBA this December at the McColl School of Business at Queens University of Charlotte. Chris (25) and his wife (another Brooke!) live in Indianapolis where he is a second year dental student at the University of Indiana School of Dentistry. And, of course, there is Bandit, our Shitzu who rules the house and family and our three granddogs! ![]() |
